Let’s pretend that Welcome to the Darkness is being made into a movie. What’s the tagline on the stunning movie poster?
“How do you maintain your humanity when you’ve become one of the monsters?”

How would you describe Reed to potential readers in just three words?
Resilient, compassionate, and loyal.

What is your favorite part about being an author? Is it something that you always knew you wanted to do, or that came to you later?
Hands down, my favorite part of being an author is doing the actual writing. Not the revising and editing, book formatting, publishing, or promotion. I want people to read my books though, otherwise I don’t see the point in writing them in the first place. In order to get the books read, all those other steps are necessary unfortunately.

It must be asked, what is your favorite snack to have on hand while writing?
A cup of coffee and some chocolate doesn’t hurt. :)

Finally, a challenge question for you. You have the ability to spend a whole week with any author, living or dead, who do you choose and why?
I think I would choose Kelley Armstrong. I have a feeling we would get along and I’d love to pick her brain. She’s a fellow Ontario resident, a mom, and of course, a writer. She’s written both adult books and young adult, and I’d love to ask her about that. Her novels are paranormal fantasy, so that’s right up my alley. They’re making a TV show about one of her series, and I’d love to find out more about that process too.
